Dell Showcases New devices at CES 2016

Dell has brought an imposing raft of products to Consumer Electronics Show this year, with a focus on business rigs that don’t carry the stigma of hardware intended for the world of work.

Dell had a runaway success last year with their latest XPS laptops with the InfinityEdge Displays.  The 13” model was a huge success.  These products featured quick processors and graphics, outstanding screen quality, and excellent battery life considering weight and performance. Dell decided to apply this design to their business class Latitude laptops. The big mover is expected to be the new Dell Latitude 13” 7000 series Ultrabook.  This comes with a variety of configurations, but it will all be based on the same chasis that features the 13” InfinityEdge Displays as well as a carbon fiber top lid.  This will host all of the business class security features that those customers expect.  It also features USB Type-C connectors as well as Thunderbolt 3.

Dell refurbished its Latitude 12 7000, the Latitude 12 is a convertible tablet. Dell offers a couple of docking options, with the first being keyboard cover, and the latter being a more traditional keyboard. Leading the charge is the 7000 Series laptop, which Dell is pitching as the world’s most secure Ultrabook. The claim refers to the laptop’s comprehensive encryption options, its authentication options, and the technology in place to protect the system against malware.

The laptop’s sleek design is realized with high-quality materials, like the woven carbon fiber used to ensure it can withstand the realities of working on the move. Under the hood, the 7000 Series offers Intel 6th-Gen Core processors, up to 16GB of DDR4 SDRAM, an Intel Integrated Graphics 520 card (with the option of upgrading to a 540), and various storage configurations --- an M.2 form factor with up to 512GB of either PCIe NCMe SSD, SATA SSD, or SED SSD depending on the purchaser’s preference.

Latitude 13 7000, Latitude 12 7000, Latitude 11 5000 beautiful designs and features were impressive. The Latitude portfolio was founded upon business-class security, reliability and manageability. The entire Latitude 3000, 5000 and 7000 Series has been completely refreshed with thin and light designs, excellent efficiency and powerful processing options.
