Xiaomi announced that the new Redmi Note 3 would launch in India earlier, but there is no word on when the device will hit the stores.
Finally, Xiaomi is all set to bring the Redmi Note 3 to India. Through its announcement on its official Facebook page, the company confirms the news of Redmi Note 3 launch. India Today, citing sources inside the company, has claimed Redmi Note 3 will be released by March. That means Xiaomi fans have two more months to get their hands on the feature-rich budget phablet.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Explorer contest:
Xiaomi has announced a new Redmi Note 3 Explorer contest for 100 lucky winners in India. According to the terms, 100 explorers will get to try the Redmi Note 3 smartphone first hand in India and will be ranked in the contest on the basic of the missions they complete, and support they get from other fans. The explorers have to return the smartphone after the contest is over. Xiaomi says it will release more details soon. Last date to register for the explorer contest is January 31.
We get two options from Note 3 to choose from the 16GB (with 2GB RAM) model, out of which 9.43GB is available for the user and with 32GB (gets 3GB RAM) onboard storage.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 flaunts a 5.5-inch IPS LCD full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 401ppi. The full HD display adds to the experience of watching videos and games. The device is powered with a 2.2GHz octa-core processor seated on Mediatek MT6795 Chipset. Switching between apps was smooth and the navigation across the device was hiccup-free. The processors enable the users get a seamless performance while gaming and multitasking.
The Redmi Note 3 runs the latest MIUI 7.0. It gets a 13MP rear snapper with PDAF Autofocus and dual LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera which allows users to click clear pictures in low light. The camera is boosted by CMOS image sensor and Digital image stabilization features. The phablet packs in a whopping 4000mAh battery that promises 3-4 days of standby time.
The device is compatible to support a wide range of connectivity features including 4G, GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11, Mobile Hotspot and computer sync among others. The special mention goes to fingerprint sensor presence which gives more security to your personal data.
Xiomi Redmi Note 3 (with Snapdragon 650) is now on sale in China for ¥999 (152/€139/Rs 10,200 approximately). The price of the device in India is expected to be in the same range, as supply partner of Xiaomi, Foxconn may assemble it at the company's local plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The cameras and the battery life are the major highlights of the phone.
