The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5 new flagship smartphone has been leaked in a bunch of press renders showing various color variants of the handset. The yet-to-be-announced Mi 5 smartphone has also surfaced in a video purportedly showing the handset in its full glory. The leaked pictures of MI 5 and video show off the front and back of the Mi 5 smartphone. The front appears to have a 2.5G curved glass display while the back is similar to that of Mi Note. No capacitive touch keys at the bottom can seem to be, but a slim capsule-like, fingerprint reader just appears to be a home button.
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5, according to reports, will feature a 2K display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with a 16 MP rear camera and a 13 MP front camera. It could come in 3GB and 4GB versions with 16 and 64GB storage space respectively. The leaked pictures of MI 5 show the handset in gold, black, white and pink color options.
Xiaomi Mi 5 launch was expected this year, but the Chinese start-up has not introduced new flagship in its Mi series so far. When comes to price, the 32GB inbuilt storage and 3GB RAM version has been said to be priced at CNY 1,999 (nearly Rs. 20,300), the 64GB inbuilt storage and 4GB RAM priced at CNY 2,299 (nearly Rs. 23,400).
