One of the features seem missing for the users of WhatsApp, Facebook-owned messaging app has been video call support, which gives an edge to competing apps such as Skype, Hangouts etc. But this is going to be fulfilled soon. Messaging service WhatsApp is soon going to introduce the video calling feature, enabling users to chat through video.
The WhatsApp video call interface appears to be similar to the voice call one, based on the leaked screenshots. The leaked screenshots also show that users after the launch of WhatsApp video call, will get the option to mute as well as switch camera during video calls.
Official confirmation has not yet been received of the launch of WhatsApp video call. But there is much guesswork of the new feature being released in the next update. WhatsApp is also rumored to be testing a multi-tab UI apart from video calling allowing its users to jump from one conversation to another needing not to go back to the main chat list.
There are so many video calling applications but only few Companies like Skype, IMO, successfully executed their services and video calling features. But these companies failed to produce video calling feature in slower networks like 2G, it becomes clarity-less pixels, it becomes good coming to 3G network, presently WhatsApp is trying to implement more useful feature which runs good even in slower networks connection for users to get clear visible video calls.
